We still have a few days to go of the Paris Olympic Games, but already there have been so many memorable highlights, and we’re not just talking about the sports performances.

Some national teams stood out from the get-go with striking uniforms, which they debuted at the opening ceremony during the boat parade down the Seine.

Other competitors stole the show not only with their talent, but the effortlessly cool and collected way in which they earned their spots on the podium. This has prompted online rankings of athletes according to “aura points”- these basically stand for badass energy, and they are the internet’s latest obsession.

In the fashion capital of the world, it’s natural to expect people to bring their A-game in the style department too.

The opening ceremony did, of course, have its own fashion moments, like the runway show on the Debilly footbridge and the custom Dior looks worn by Aya Nakamura, Lady Gaga, and Celine Dion for their performances.

However, amongst mixed reviews for the opening night, many of the more popular style moments emerged later on in the games, capturing the attention of our hearts (and our Instagram feeds).

In light of these fashion feats, we've curated our own list of golden moments from the Olympics. Our selection criteria? Fashion, yes, but more importantly, the undeniable presence of style.

8. Czech Republic's Tie-Dye Coats

The Czech team's tie-dye coats left a lasting impression during the rainy opening ceremony procession. These striking pieces, designed by Jan Černý under his label Jan Société in collaboration with Alpine Pro, reflect Černý's experience as an intern for the late Virgil Abloh at Louis Vuitton.

Although they didn’t convey immediate cultural references, the genderless collection draws inspiration from vintage Czech uniform designs. The standout item was a coat featuring a blue Rorschach print inspired by artist Vladimir Boudnik. They might be official Olympic uniforms, but the public needs them too!

7. Louis Vuitton’s Treasure Trunks

In keeping with tradition, the official torches for the games journeyed from Olympia, Greece to Paris. This time, they got the first-class experience, travelling in exceptional style and comfort in custom Louis Vuitton monogram trunks. Designed specifically for the games, there were two trunks for the torches and an additional two for the 468 medals.

Pharrell Williams, Louis Vuitton's Men's Creative Director, proudly served as the final torchbearer during the opening ceremony. As an official sponsor of the Games, LVMH was loud and proud in its commitment, printing the slogan "Victory travels in Louis Vuitton."

The luxury group invested a reported 150 million euros for its premier sponsorship and even hosted a prelude event that attracted celebrities like Pharrell Williams, Rosalia, Snoop Dogg, LeBron James, Dan Carter, and Jeremy Allen White.

The Louis Vuitton trunks were a highlight, adding an elegant touch of French fashion to the event. However, the French uniforms? Unfortunately, they gave major flight attendant vibes, and not in a hot way like the Emirates uniforms.

6. The Hooded Horsewoman

One of the standout moments from the opening ceremony was the hooded horsewoman who closed out the event riding a mechanical horse down the River Seine.

Some sources say she represented Joan of Arc, others Sequana, goddess of the Seine. Either way she evoked badass, Assassin's Creed style in her head-to-toe armour crafted by French designer Jeanne Friot.

5. The Netherlands’ Pop of Orange

The Netherlands breakdancing team—because yes, as of this year, breakdancing is officially an Olympic sport — is sporting a stylish tracksuit by the Amsterdam-based brand The New Originals.

This tracksuit features a simple, relaxed fit, and the athletes have been given three colour options to choose from. The total bold orange look stands out the most, plus it recalls the national football team's emblem.

4. Yuto Horigome's Skateboarding Gold

Yuto Horigome of Japan clinched his second skateboarding gold medal, all while rocking his own Nike SB Dunk Lows sneaker collaboration and a Nike SB Jersey.

He stayed in the zone throughout the competition with his AirPods - what was he listening to? We don’t know, but the ability to still give off laid back vibes when the stakes are so high make skateboarding one of the most enjoyable sports to watch.

3. Team Mongolia's Uniforms

The Mongolian athletes' uniforms, designed by Michel & Amazonka, featured intricate gold embroidery on traditional tunics called deels. This blend of traditional Mongolian styles with modern fashion elements created an iconic ensemble that went viral on social media.

These uniforms were among the best at the opening ceremony and were impressively put together in just 12 weeks due to issues with the previous designer.

2. Nonchalance on the Shooting Range

The shooting range drew significant attention this Olympics. Yeji Kim became an internet sensation with her villain-style firing, while the 10m air rifle shooting captivated audiences with intriguing, supple, custom-made leather kits tailored for each athlete, featuring different coloured accents.

Meanwhile, 51-year-old marksman Yusuf Dikec snagged silver with minimal gear. Competing with no specialised lenses, eye cover, or ear protection, and one hand in his pocket, the ex-special forces shooter would make the ultimate bodyguard.

1. Snoop Dogg's Dressage Performance

Snoop Dogg has quickly become the celebrity mascot of the games. From carrying a torch at the opening ceremony to supporting Simone Biles and Team USA at gymnastics events, he’s been everywhere in his comfy Team USA tracksuit.

He posed with the fencing team, shot hoops, and attended the skateboarding final while “Still D.R.E.” played at La Concorde Urban Park. His latest, perhaps most iconic moment? Celebrating Martha Stewart's birthday in full equestrian attire to cheer on the dressage athletes. The man really can do it all.

The Paris Olympics have been full of entertainment, and when in Paris, style is as much a sport as cycling or diving. These golden moments have added a unique flair to the games, making them memorable for both the athletes and the spectators.
